You NEED a voice chat app to communicate your movements, as both players are joined together - one player is the 'legs', the other is the eyes.
This video gives somewhat of an idea of what the game is like:
Build V20 adds support for "Blind Mode" where view changing portals are disabled, and one player can solely guide the other (so theoretically a blind person can play our game)

The game should be played with a friend, but for testing purposes you can play on the same machine. Just open the game twice, in one click "Host" the other type "127.0.0.1" and hit "Go" (though you'll miss out on the best part of the gameplay, which is the desperation trying to guide someone).
To play online:
- One person click on "Show Public IP" and share with the other. Then click on "Host"
- Other person pastes the IP on the text box, the hit Go.
If the game bugs, someone can't move or something just start the process again (it's usually working for me at most on the 2nd try, but we all live close to each other).
Also don't click on Show Public IP while streaming, else your IP will be shared online.
